PLEASE NOTE:  Boaters born after 1/1/1974 must have VT or other state's boating license/certificate, and have it with them on day of rental (or screenshot saved to their phone).   VT has an online Boating Safety Course, which takes 3-4 hours to complete and costs ~$30.  ​Some other states have free online boating safety courses offered by the the BoatUS Foundation.

ALSO NOTE:  Your reservation is secured with a 50% HOLDING DEPOSIT.  The HOLDING DEPOSIT is to hold the boat for you and is non-refundable - as we will have told other potential renters that the boat is unavailable - refunds will be issued only in the case we are able to re-rent the boat for the date(s) of your reservation, or in the case of bad weather or equipment issues.

Rentals are available for FULL-DAY, for multiple days, and for SIX-DAY weekly rentals, and include use of a slip for the rental boat at the marina.  Full-days are for up to 8.5 hours (between 8 am and 530 pm).  Six-day weekly rentals are for 6 calendar days - note that multi-day rentals must return to the marina docks before sunset each evening and return by 530pm on the last day of the rental.

All rentals include life jackets, lake charts, emergency bag, flotation cushion, and other safety gear as applicable. All rental boats are equipped with Lowrance CHARTPLOTTER/GPS units.  A marina crew member will orient Rental Boaters to the boat & equipment as well as the Lake charts at the start of the rental.

Gas and VT sales tax are additional to rental rates.  A cleaning fee of $100 will be assessed if the boat is returned very dirty.

Please note that ABSOLUTELY NO BEACHING OF BOATS and NO LEAVING BOAT UNATTENDED AT ANCHOR is allowed.  Also note the marina's insurance regulations STRICTLY FORBID TOWING, TUBING OR WATER SKIING from Ladd’s Landing Marina rental boats. Violation of this rule will immediately end rental period and $500 security deposit will be forfeited.

Customer will be responsible for any loss or damage to equipment. Customer will also also responsible for return of all equipment on boat and in boat safety bag and will be charged accordingly for missing or damaged equipment, INCLUDING DAMAGE TO PROPELLER. Boats returned dirty will be assessed a cleaning fee (minimum $100).

SECURITY DEPOSIT OF $500 is required on all boats to cover minor damage and/or loss of equipment. Customer is responsible for FULL cost of damages to boat, which may exceed security deposit.
